No, not a freak summer storm...
just me loose in the back yard with pruning shears and the chainsaw.
MWAH ha ha ha ha!!!!
I DO so love to prune and clear with the chainsaw!
all cleaned up... our yard in summer.
Calvin working on his plans to take over the universe some day...
"Oh please? ohpleaseohpleaseohplease throw the ball????!!!!"
I'm not sure why they decided our bed was the best place to play chess...?
Denise's birthday party at Gathering Together Farms in Philomath!! Check out the yummy ORGANIC sweets and the COOL outdoor oven!
Renee, Denise, and Denise's daughters Cheri and Nicki
After lunch we went across the street to the
Oregon Alpaca Farm.
They are ADORABLE!!
The strange thing was that they smell so sweet, like sweet hay. The gift shop there is so cool, you've got to check it out sometime.
There is a candy dispenser on the porch of the gift shop where you can get treats for the alpacas... so they all come running when they see visitors. Kizi (love the crazy hair?) and Nicki are feeding them goodies...
UGH! Beeeeautiful!
I met up with Denise and Nicki and a couple of other gals at Inavale for some fun on their cross-country/eventing course. Kaiyah and I mostly had fun just dinking around, but we did jump a couple of puny jumps.
Kaiya's radar ears.
Later in July the boys got to go to Cub Scout camp.
That MIGHT have been fun, except it was deathly hot and humid all week:
TRIPLE digits every day.
So... we went one day, and left after lunch.
I know. Weenies.
Calvin assembling his marshmallow shooter.
Caleb's pretty excited! Or wait, maybe he was having heat stroke? I'm not sure...
Yay, it works! Now I'll have tiny, sticky, miniature marshmallows all over my yard! Yay for Scout Camp!
Okay, sorry for being the Scout Camp Grinch.
They really did love the BB gun tutorial though.
And learned SO much with badminton!
The wild west show at lunch was mildly entertaining, until the kids started dropping from heat exhaustion! ;)
OH, this is one of the many reasons we love our Gracie dog!
