~ February flitters

Just a few random photos from February... all in all it was a COLD and fairly quiet month.

Kizi is really enjoying her Irish dance class. She'll have a BIG performance at the Elsinore Theater at the end of May. This will be her third year performing. It's a packed house and really a very fun and exciting night!

This was taken on a rare, lovely day on February 15th, after we got home from church (Stake Conference).

Caleb showing me his GQ look. I suppose now is the time to mention that one morning (in March-- sorry, I'm pre-dating these entries so as to keep chronological order) while my car was getting new brakes, the kids and I went to Denny's and had breakfast... and were approached by a scout from Mode Models in Portland. They wanted us to bring the kids up. She was actually very sweet, and said "families" but I knew what she meant. Tempting... but no.

This is a common sight in our home. Either that, or all three kids reading the three hardbound volumes of the complete collection of "Calvin and Hobbes." For Calvin in particular, who is not crazy about reading, it's a great way for him to learn to enjoy reading.

Um, yeah... MORE snow.

We are ready for SPRING!!!!! Please oh please, make the dark go away and bring on the sunshine!

beautiful...

The world has enough women who are tough;
we need women who are tender.
There are enough women who are coarse;
we need women who are kind.
There are enough women who are rude;
we need women who are refined.
We have enough women of fame and fortune;
we need more women of faith.
We have enough of greed;
we need more goodness.
We have enough of vanity;
we need more virtue.
We have enough popularity;
we need more purity.
