On our way back south we spent the night in Portland. We got there fairly late after leaving the water park, so we just walked from our hotel down to one of our favorite little restaurants on the waterfront... it's a floating one that I can't think of its name, but it's super delicious.
The next morning we went to OMSI--
(Oregon Museum of Science & Industry)
a very cool place for kids. They had a very impressive DaVinci exhibit, but they prohibit photography so I can't show any of the cool things we saw in there. He was simply amazing. I even found out that the Mona Lisa DID have eyebrows and eyelashes, but they didn't survive. Doesn't Kizi make a cute Mona Lisa?
Nice one, boys. And me, facing the wrong direction. DAH!
The kids love Pleo-- an interactive robotic dinosaur. Very sweet.
Yeah, not a lot of photos... we were pretty much ready to go home after a couple of hours, although we did see a cool, super interesting movie on the huge Omnimax screen (where the screen wraps around you) that was called
Adrenaline Rush: The Science of Risk
that showed all kinds of crazy stuff like basejumpers and high-risk skydiving (as if regular skydiving wasn't high risk?)
And then we went home.
SO nice to sleep in our own cozy beds again!
